Once you have an education, and can pay for your own house, electricity, internet, and computer, then you can sit back and enjoy the luxuries of the internet :P...

First of all, I'd say that's a better question to ask your teachers, principal, parents and school board than here. But, seeing as how you've already asked here, I'd suggest that you get their opinions as well.

In some schools, it's really just a power-trip kinda thing. The teachers don't want you doing it, so they say you can't without giving you a good reason. This is wrong. You should be disallowed from using it on school time on school computers, but you should be given a proper reason as well.

The safety issue is a big one. As is the "get-around" issue, as in "my parents won't let me use myspace at home, so I have to do it at school so they won't know." The school is not a place for you to do what your parent(s) won't let you.

Chances are, the computers at your school were purchased with taxpayers' money, for the express purpose of assisting in your education. If it was my tax money being used so a bunch of kids can exercise their narcissistic muscles on myspace, I'd be pretty upset at how the school is wasting my money.

You're only in school a few hours a day anyway. If you can't do without myspace that long, you have what is known as a psychological addiction that you need to deal with.

Your school has blocked the access and no teacher can allow that site to be accessed. Just wait till you get home. It will be more a headache for you to try and figure out how to do it. Your login account at school will not allow you to gain access to permitting sites.
